  • Description: Hardy evergreen shrub with fine leaves. It has culinary and medicinal uses.
  • Uses: In medicine, the leaf aides the digestion of fats and increases the blood supply, stimulating circulation. The leaf is used in cooking by applying sparingly to all kinds of meats, mixing it with butter for vegetables, or to flavor baked potatoes. Rosemary branches can be placed throughout the house to scent the air and the leaves are used in potpourri. Rosemary can be used in the summer time by heating the branches on a grill to keep insects away from food.
