  • Country of Origin: southeastern USA
  • Habitat: boggy low-lying areas of pine forests

  • Description: The parrot pitcher plant has a rather distinctive morphology and a different trapping mechanism than most of the other Sarracenia's. It is considered more of a 'lobster pot' type trap rather than the typical 'passive pitfall' variety.
