  • Description: Low shrub, to 3 feet high and 4 feet across, branches trailing, shoots glandular-tuberculed; leaves lanceolate to narrow-oblong, to 4 inches long, sparsely toothed, short-petioled; flowers 1 or 2 in leaf axils, pink, calyx lobes broadly ovate, corolla about 5/16 inches across, bearded inside; fruit ovoid, flattened, 1/2 inch wide, rose-colored, edible.
    Useful for rock gardens and banks
