  • Description: also: Mock Orange, House Blooming Mock Orange

    Shrub or small tree, to 18 feet; leaves ovate), and broadly tapering to each end; wider than oblanceolate.">obovate, to 4 inches long, thick and leathery, margins revolute; flowers white to lemon-yellow, fragrant, to 1/2 inch long, in many-flowered umbellate clusters; capsule 3-valved, globose, to 1/2 inch diameter, tomentose.

  • Culture: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil and keep moist over summer to maintain the foliage at its best. They need full sun or part-shade, and a sheltered position in colder areas.
